Shelters of Saratoga

Shelters of Saratoga (SOS), is a local 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to end homelessness in the Greater Saratoga region. Through the support of Lifestyles of Saratoga, SOS is able to meet the complex needs of individuals who are economically disadvantaged and/or homeless in this community. Each year SOS and its volunteers make over 800 connections with individuals on the streets or living in temporary housing. Food, clothing, shelter and support are at the core of the stabilization process. Intensive case management and extended support are provided to individuals seeking suitable employment and sustainable living situations. Learn more about SOS’s programs:

Saratoga Race Course

Come out and visit the Shasta at the Saratoga Race Tracks’ Saratoga Pavilion every Saturday and Sunday during Racing Season. A portion of the sales generated during its time at the track will be donated back to B.E.S.T or Backstretch Employee Service Team.

Susan G. Komen

Lifestyles of Saratoga, Caroline and Main, and the Shasta all participated in this years Susan G. Komen Event for Breast Cancer Survivors.  Money raised at the event allows the Northeastern NY chapter of Susan G. Komen to address unmet breast health needs locally by funding education and screening programs where they are needed most, as well as funding cutting-edge research.

The most important part of the Shasta is working with the community to give back to different charities as much as possible.

“It has always been one of the goals of owning my own business, to be able to give back to the community that means so much to me. I was born and raised in Saratoga Springs and there are so many worthy causes that I want to be able to give to. This mobile boutique allows me the means to expand my charitable giving.”

– Owner, Heidi Owen West
