This summer, we’re all over Saratoga: at the race track, at our sister store, Caroline and Main and, of course, here at Lifestyles. But with, we’re everywhere.

This week, we’re adding a curated collection of one of our favorite designers to the shop: Eileen Fisher. Season after season, we depend on Eileen Fisher to create styles that transcend trends, with eco-friendly materials, with fits that actually, well, fit.

With our online collection, we’re not just bringing out a few pieces you can wear for the next two weeks, but staples you’ll need for seasons to come.

Why We Love It

  • Trendy and timeless. This collection holds up not only through a few seasons but a few years. Everything from the wraps to the classic denim button down can take you from fall to winter and will see you through breezier summer nights.
  • Everything eco. Eileen Fisher never compromises when it comes to style standards or eco-friendly practices. It’s one of the reasons Lifestyles has carried them for so long. You’ll be blown away by the moto jacket, which looks like plush leather but is really waxed cotton. Or check out the Fuji silk shirt, which actually has more of a soft, almost suede-like feel.
  • Layer loving. This collection is meant to be mixed, matched, and lovingly layered. We’ve got plenty of lightweight pieces that will keep you cozy and that you can pair with what’s already in your closet.

Wear and Pair

Moto Magic. Get the leather look, but shed the guilt (and the cost). The Waxed Organic Cotton Moto Jacket will have you motoring from the cooler summer evenings to the chilly fall days. We’re pairing it with the Organic Cotton Denim Classic shirt, a staple everyone needs in their closet. Throw on your favorite pair of black jeans and you’re ready to cycle on.

Feminist Fabrics. The wisdom’s in the details with the Morse Code Tencel Viscose Kimono Jacket. The long and lustrous kimono may seem simply patterned, but look closer and you’ll see a Morse code declaring: “The future is female.” We’re pairing it with anything and everything. But one of our favorite looks is throwing the kimono over a deep red sleeveless top and jeans.

Wrap it up. With its playful Peruvian weave, the Organic Cotton Weave Serape is the perfect transition piece. We’ll be wearing it all over town this fall and at home on chilly winter days. The front is open so you can wrap it around you or let it fall as it will. We recommend pairing it with black pants and a simple t-shirt or silk camisole, in either midnight black or a crisp white.

Suede and silks. Roll it up or let it fly, the Fuji Silk Tie-Sleeve Shirt stuns either way. The A-line cut and the suede-like silk make this the perfect shirt to take you from the dog days of summer to the breezier days ahead. Pair it with lightly colored denim or black pants, and a scarf and you’re off to the races!
